Koey believes that happiness is similar to a carbonated drink. If you don't enjoy the drink right away, you will soon become numb to its taste. Simon believes that happiness is quite similar to planting a tree. Once it is planted, it must be watered in order to grow. Willy does not believe in happiness in any sense. The film utilizes three lives with three distinct personalities to define happiness.
