Punk musician and DIY filmmaker David Markey flashes back to the sixties with a frenetic snippet of a dream in which a hippie (Kevin Maxwell) watches a crowd of people chase and try to grab a tapestry purse from a hippie chick (Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon). The payoff? Another sixties invention: Astro Turf. This was the first of several Markey film appearances by Gordon and her then-husband and fellow Sonic Youth band member Thurston Moore. - Marilyn Ferdinand
