This is a comedy that tells the story of Skeeter Freeman. He is in a lot of debt, but is still planning on going ahead with his wedding. He is afraid to get married because of his debt, but decides to anyway. His wedding is ruined due to a series of events. Depressed over his ruined wedding, Skeeter takes off from his new bride with his two best friends, Floyd an engineer and Wat, a peanut salesman. They go off and search for Skeeter's idol a fictional Bulldog Hays. This is a story of interpersonal relationships, and how they co-exist.
