This is a dramatic film about friendship, loyalty, and love. It centers around two men, and the story takes place in Brazil. It tells the often strange story of two men, that are very close and connected even though they are from extremely different backgrounds. One of the men Miguel is a senator. He has through the years made great gains in the political arena. The other man Jorge stumbled into a life less than perfect, he becomes deeply involved with unsavory people trying to keep himself above water. The two men are childhood friends who are reunited in jail.
