Akihabara is a neon-drenched district of Tokyo, full of manga, anime, electronics, video games, and various cult toys. It is a place that gathers together all kinds of obsessed fans, and fanatics of such themes, people who are commonly referred to as otaku. Page, Box, Akira, Taiko, and Izumu are five otaku - each an expert in his or her own field, and each with his or her own troubles. They drop out of society and end up founding their own successful IT venture called Crook. But a seedy character, Nakagomi Takeshi, the president of an influential electronics company called Digital Capital, will do anything to get his hands on Crook. The young otaku seek relief through a website called "Yu's Lifeguard." But when the site owner Yu dies a mysterious death, the group gathers to form "Akihabara@Deep," a trouble-shooter group that vows to protect the district, and solve the problems of the inhabitants. 913
