4 is a dramatic film that centers around a bar in Moscow. The film tells the story of various patrons of the bar. There is Oleg, a butcher, Marina, who works as a prostitute, and Volodya, a piano tuner. The patrons tell each other made up stories about who they really are. Oleg claims to be an important government official. Marina pretends she is a high-level executive for a marketing agency and Volodya claims he is a scientist and rock star. These stories began to take on a life of their own and affect everyone, even after they leave.
